Upcoming model geometry migration

This change is unreleased and requires a major version under the release policy. Existing scenes keep their model asset IDs; runtime geometry caches and exported packages change format.

  1. Back up original model sources and their .meta files. Keep the existing IDs and import settings.
  2. For OBJ sources, install builtin:org.mass4.turian.obj through the Bricks panel or run turian-cli brick add <project> org.mass4.turian.obj builtin:org.mass4.turian.obj.
  3. Reopen or compile the project. Updated importer versions recreate old AMMESH caches as GLB/glTF geometry from their original sources.
  4. Rebuild exported games and OAP packages. A package containing only AMMESH cannot be loaded by the new runtime; recover original sources before upgrading.
  5. Replace direct MeshBlob, MeshBlobWriter, MeshBlobBaker or Turian.Editor.Obj.ObjModelBuilder calls with GltfModelReader for geometry and AssimpModelConverter.ConvertToGlb for editor conversion. Rebuild custom editor plugins.

GLB/glTF geometry is imported unchanged, while material/image discovery and dependency packaging still run. Triangle geometry, compact and normalized attributes, sparse accessors and external buffers are supported; required compression extensions such as Draco/meshopt remain unsupported. Native .max and .blend files require an interchange export rather than direct import.
